Spooky Season; Whatever Words #5

Tis the season for something spooky! Or at least that's how I'm feeling at the moment. Also watched that State of Play from PlayStation and Ghost of Yotei piqued my interest. Enough so that I'm itching to replay the first game. Totally not a spooky game, but a compelling one.

Currently playing Emio on the Switch—quick aside, on my blog page I added some descriptors on the side bar. A current reading list, yes three books being read at the same time, I have my reasons. The first book I want to take my time with, it's already in my feels and I want this story to grow with me. Like these characters are growing alongside with me...deep I know. Second book is the one I'm focused on, soon to be finished. The first book is owned by my partner, yet the other two are on loaned time. Priorities. The third book is when I want that quick story to pass the time. Plus it has visuals and I'm a sucker for pictures in my books.

Back to Emio—and I do quite mean so this time, no other—quick asi—no I'm just kidding. Emio is rated M for mature, but I have not hit that point, yet. And I kind of want the intensity already. I was feeling Until Dawn, but that's physical so I'll have to go searching for that. Returnal is currently being downloaded. I never beat it, but it has those spooky vibes I could be looking for. There's that indie game on Steam that gives PS1 horror that people were raving. I do like to support them indies. I'll have to take another peek at that game...

Crow country, that's the game. Yeah it looks spooky and interesting.

Also! There is another list on the sidebar, this one shows my current list of games I'm playing. Dragon Quest VI will be on the list for awhile. I'm taking my time with that one, while the ones below it will be completed faster. I contemplated adding a watch list, but I haven't really talked about the shows I'm watching. Plus the list is vast, with some shows started but put on pause as others come up in their place. Currently on that King of the Hill grind and Sopranos. Nearing the final season for both of them. Maybe what I need is a spooky show...

Emio, I don't play many visual novel type games, the last one I remember playing was the Digimon one. I like how the game makes you review the case over and over to remind you about key points to focus on. And some cases they don't give you a multiple choice option, but have to actually type out your answer. Keeps me on my toes, making me feel like a real detective. Depending on how this game ends, I am contemplating getting the games that came before this one. Maybe this is a whole new genre I need to look.
