Accidental Foreshadowing; Whatever Words #1

Okay, so initially this was going to be a Sunday thing, but that didn’t happen. Now I’m looking at making this a weekly Monday thing. What better way to get through the working day, or school day, or off day, or whatever is going on for you. Now let’s get into the rambling…

So I read this book, I’ve already told some people my feelings about it, but I will probably make a post review thing on it because it got some sparks flying in me. Positive, negative, maybe a bit of both, who knows. I will probably write it up soon, but post it at a later date because someone I know is trying to read it. Plus they read my blog–which I am happy to know about, so if you read my blog don’t be afraid to tell me, it fills me up with joy. Even my dad has told me that he’s read some of my stuff, or at least looked around my blog. Will that stop me from putting out certain thoughts? Nah. Will I avoid topics about my family? Well I already planned to not go into minute detail about stuff like that and really only discuss things that pertain to me specifically that I want to talk about. Don’t worry, I’m not trying to hide anything or shelter anyone, I just don’t find it necessary to discuss. He was and still is a great parent, was in the Navy, we moved around a lot when I was kid, and I’ve already processed what that meant for me and my growth as a child. (For those curious, I’ve become a big fan of traveling and even plan to move in a few years, like move move to a different state–yes I live in the States–away from my parents. I already live a few hours away from them, but I plan to go further. Oh, and the constant moving at a young age is probably the reason why I don’t open up about my worries to my friends, only to those who are super-duper close to me, yet feel comfortable acting like an extroverted fool to strangers, because I don’t plan to see them again or care how they perceive me. See, already processed).

I did read another book that I want to talk about called Kim Ji-young, born 1982. I’ll make a post on this book as well, but I highly recommend this one be read so that’s why I’m name dropping it right now. It’s a feminist novel that is insightful and a good read. It only took me 4 days to finish it, I know this because I used my book tracking app Bookmory. There’s another book I plan to read, also by a Korean author. This was not done on purpose, the opposite actually, but the other books I wanted to check out were not available at the library at the time. Speaking of, I’ll need to find another book to read before September eight when they’re due. I’m also reading a book about a cat and I know it will make me cry, so I read it in chunks. Like an in-between read for my other books. This one is owned so there’s no rush.

What else am I doing…okay so on my steam deck I’m playing Another Crabs Treasure. While everyone else is playing Wukong, I am fighting baddies as a crab. The game is enjoyable and I’m taking my time with it; I just beat the 3rd(?) main story boss. I’ve beaten multiple bosses but I think the one I just beat, a samurai looking crab, is the 3rd required boss fight to progress the story. A game I have been really into is Dragon Quest VI. Playing it on my phone and I can tell I’ve really gotten into it because my other phone games have turned into second thoughts. I still keep up with NYTG, but those are done so quickly and I have accidently missed a day or two before. I’m also playing Invincible: Guarding the Globe and it’s alright. I don’t take it too seriously. I’ve put some money in it but nothing crazy. Meow Tower: Nonogram (Picross), now that game is up there for me. I’ve paid to get rid of ads in between levels and I am having a blast. It’s a good game when taking a quick break as you’re limited to how many levels you can play at a time. I focus only on the hard levels because the easy ones are too easy for me. No hate if you only do the easy levels, I just enjoy the hard ones.

Oh my gosh, I’m also getting more One Piece cards! I ordered some last week and totally forgot they were coming in today until I just got notified about it being delivered. If you haven’t seen already, I’m a big fan of card games and I’m a big fan of One Piece (If you didn’t know the One Piece part I don’t blame you, I haven’t made a post about it yet). I have every starter deck and plan to get each new one when they come out. I’m only getting English cards so I could play with them if I ever decided to go to an actual tournament. I have a friend who also gets the Japanese versions and…more power to them? I don’t see a reason to unless you just really want to get the new cards, because the Japanese cards get released before the English ones. And I think some cards could be exclusive to Japanese, like special promotional ones. I do get Japanese manga books because some fan translated ones I’ve read online don’t have an official English translated version, so if I were to ever get a copy it would only be in Japanese. When I get rich with more space, I want to buy physical versions of the manga I’ve read. I’m also very particular about keeping my collections of stuff the same way, so I would want them to be in the same language. Exceptions can be made, but the majority have to the follow the same guidelines.

My partner and I are also trying to help our cats with their boredom. Aiko wants to just be outside but we can’t have that. We let her out on the balcony, but she’s gotten into places she shouldn’t, so we have limitations. We’ve gotten a stick and string toy that she likes, but that can only entertain her for so long before she wants something new. So, we’re trying to change the home environment a bit every few days to give her something new to explore. We have a floor table that we move around some times, and we’re letting them into closets that we didn’t before (Noki would bite any plastic he could find so most closets were off limits). We’ve taken her outside with a harness on, but she only walks so far. She never wants to go back in, but with all the mosquitos we can only stay outside for a limited time. Aiko and Lika have gotten better with each other, they touch noses more often and less hissing. Lika loves the stick and string toy, wanting to play daily. It has helped me move around more as well so I oblige.

The month is almost over. Next month will be my birthday month, but I never proclaim what day it is unless asked. For those curious, it’s on the same day as International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Funnily enough, it was created the year I was born. Could I be the reason the Holiday started? Am I a reincarnation of a pirate? Was I destined to be into pirates from the day of my birth? My dad’s favorite baseball team is the Pittsburgh Pirates. One of my favorite manga is One Piece, a pirate themed show. Could I be Joy Boy?

(I think I just accidently foreshadowed a future post I did not plan to write yet, but now I have to).
